Actually, my point wasn't so much which editor is superior (they all have their
merits), as the fact that they are all semantically ineficient.  C-x C-c to end
an emacs session? "*y and "*p for cut and paste in vi (not to mention
remembering to be in "visual mode")?  Or the old WS ^Qf to find text.  None of
these make any inherrent sense.  It was the cryptic command set of WordStar
that eventually led to its demise.  "Easier" word-processors like WordPerfect
and MS Word took its place.

As for my opinion on Emacs bloat, try running it on a low end 386 :p

PS.  I also use emacs for some things.
