Well, switching to dhcpxd fixed my problem without any other
configuration changes. Which proves: A. There was nothing wrong with my network
configuration, and B. Something has changed in the current dhcpcd, since it
worked fine last week's mirrors. Of course, this means I can't get a working
net connection during install and can't use the crypto step. I'm working with a
Motorola cable modem and the Road Runner network, if that means anything to
anyone.
