Before I list the items I have found, I would like to say thanks to all the
contributors to this great distribution.
1. There is no option during install for a JAPANESE keyboard- also missing from
7.0- My wife uses Japanese at home and I use English at work. The regular
XF86Setup has the option for JP106 keyboard but not in Mandrake / Drakconfig.
2. What happened to Lothar? sndconfig was not installed and I installed Sound
Drake but it didn't setup sound automatically on my SB Vibra 16 card.
3. No kpackage- please bring it back.
4. Adding a user through DrakConf would seem to work but logging in as anything
other than root would fail. I did it through the command line and it worked
fine once but upon logging back in as user, failed.
5. During install- opted for no lilo install. Grub was installed without my
knowledge and doesn't work on my hd config. Do not install it by default
please.
6. As user kppp would give the message "pppd binary must be started with the
SUID bit set" kppp would not connect to the modem unless in root.
I wish I knew programming and could offer a solution- sorry. I hope to see
these items fixed, in turn creating a great distribution.
