I have determined that 7.1 Beta, Hydrogen, has a serious problem when installation is attempted using the advansys SCSI driver is selected.  The card is a SIIG 540 and the hard drive is a 2 Gig Seagate.
The installation fails with a message indicating that it failed to mount the hard drive and then it hangs while trying to access the SCSI CD-ROM.  I know this setup works fine as I have used it to successfully install Redhat 6.1 on it.

I assume the problem lies in Hydrogen's version of the advansys SCSI driver, although since I was not able to get it to install I have no idea what version that would be.
