------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-03-09 19:36 ------- Frankly, I also do not care much whether Steve Gibson is right or wrong. But I can see that something on the line of "pixel-hinting" is possible on CRT's too. In my experience, it does not make KDE uglier on CRT's. In the end thats a user choice, as long as they _can_ enable/disable this option, which is what this bug report is all about. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------- Reminder: ------- assigned_to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] status: NEW creation_date: description: Using mdk-9.1rc1. In kcontrol->fonts, enable anti-aliasing. Then enable sub-pixel hinting. Click apply and quit kcontrol. Start kcontrol again. Go to fonts and find that the option sub-pixel hinting has become unchecked !! I tried several times but kcontrol always reverts to the option unchecked.
