------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-03-09 21:15 -------
Two different things here:

1. startx -- :1 works correctly if I go back to the v3123 of the NVidia driver.

2. I can start gnome and fluxbox in Xnest, but not KDE. This might be the same
problem than some people found trying to use vnc. I am pretty sure I could open
a KDE session in an Xnest window only few weeks ago.

description:
when I try as a second user to start X with 'startx -- :1' the screen is
corrupted. If I then use ctrl-alt-f7 and ctrl-alt-f8 to come back to the X
session, it is back to normal.
I tried creating a new user and the X session only shows a blue screen. After
the magic ctrl-alt sequence, it shows the first screen of the first time wizzard.
