Hi - While upgrading from 9.1rc1 to 9.1rc2, my system hung while installing.
The message on one of the vt consoles said it couldn't run X. I had upgraded
the XFree86 rpms from the default rc1 package to a more recent cooker release.
I ultimately had to reinstall instead of upgrading (probably due to a bonehead
error on my part), so I haven't tried to repeat this.
