My mistake. It is in main. But I maintain that Mandrake only holds (partial) responsibility over the binaries it distributes. It has no control over the source code they are derived from.
Now in this case it's not a binary, it's a script, but you know what I mean. If the source code references PLF, so what? The executable doesn't.
But you may need to add an extra command to your howto (now that you mention it): # urpmi urpmi.setup
