Hi!

I installed recently a kernel with framebuffer console in order to avoid the
resolution changes which always occurs when I switch from the console to
X11. That is, my consoles are now 1024x768, which is my X11 resolution too.
Everything is quite perfect, except that there is still a change between the
two modes : the refresh rate. It's at 107 Hz in X11 and 60Hz in console
mode.

So my question : is there a way I can rise the refresh rate of the
framebuffer console in order to have 107 Hz everywhere? That way, my monitor
will never have to switch anything at all, preserving it (I think my
previous monitor burnt because of too often resolutions switching).

I know that there are a few options in the kernel for Matrox and ATI cards,
but mine is a Voodoo Banshee... Any idea??

Thanks in advance to copy your answer to my adress.

Cya!
Gregus
