Excellent. We are really making things up as we go along. That is basically 
the method to the wiki madness: If you want it implemented - you implement 
it. If there are any disagreements then they shall be discussed, but after 
someone has made some first steps. 

Regarding the hardware database: We recongise that an actual database (like 
the one mandrake has) is the ideal solution. However, the mandrake hardware 
compatability database has some severe limitations at the moment:
1. No way for community members to add information on hardware they know is 
compatible.
2. No way of having specific documentation on how to get a specific piece of 
hardware to work if it does not work "out of the box"

Steffen Barszus actually posted a message to cooker yesterday asking the 
mandrake people how they envision the community helping them with the 
hardware database ... and got no answer.
