I've heard from another source that kernel 2.4.21pre-4
has fixed the firewire. Is this the version that will
be in the final? I believe this build was used in Beta
3 (which did work). Anyway here's the LSPCI info you

Using RC1 the machine locks up when probing the firewire port. It see the 
firewire as the TI version but hangs.




The machine is a Sager 8886 laptop, P4 Intel processor. Sager is manufactured by
