------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-03-11 14:35 ------- I have a similar problem. I have a few machines with Asus A7V333 motherboards with on board Promise PDC20276 IDE RAID controller. I use the "normal" IDE controller for DVD and CD recorder, while normally the hard disk(s) are attached to the IDE RAID controller (currently w/o using any raid features). The installer can't find any driver for the Promise controller, and the installation fails without hope. Notice that I'm currently running Mdk 9.0 on these machines, and the stock kernels are working with it without any problem. (although also the installer for mdk 9.0 didn't worked with it. In order to install I had to temporarily connect the HDD to the other controller for installation, than manually change the relevant config files and change back the hardware setup. Obviously that's quite annoying and surely out of question for any inexperienced Linux user...) Please fix this problem before the 9.1 final release, tnx! Ciao, Paolo. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------- Reminder: ------- assigned_to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] status: NEW creation_date: description: I still cant find any drivers for the promise fasttrak 376 ata/raid controller. My motherboard is an Asus P4PE, and my hard drive is connected to the raid controller. Mandrake 9.1 RC1 does not have any drivers to support this controller, so I cant install it. It cannot find my hard drive. Can you provide support for this in other releases of Mandrake 9.1?
