I did not run ps when the problem occured. I did run top, which did not
show kdm running, although there were a couple of k* processes going that
were unfamiliar to me. I'm relieing on my memory now, so take the above
with a grain of salt.
By the way, I chose not to install kde because I have the kde2 beta rpms
that I wished to load.
Why did I end up with kde app's on a gnome only install?
