Multi_key works.
However, I saw that there are five keyboard layouts where it isn't the case.
Those are:
us, us_intl, de(nodeadkeys), dvorak(no), dvorak(se).

For de(nodeadkeys), dvorak(no), dvorak(se) they just need to be specifically
added to the list of "old layouts" ("de" and "dvorak" were already there, but
variants don't inherit...).
The file is /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xkb/rules/xfree86

For us_intl, I'll add definition of <RWIN> to Multi_key, as people using us_intl
keyboard are typically to make a lot of use of that key.

"us" will be replaced with "en_US" when choosing "US QWERTY" trough
drakkeyboard, 'en_US' layout is like 'us' but with goodies, among them, the
Multi_key.

I prefer not to touch to "us", as it is used in conjuction with non-latin layouts.

description:
As in bug #3192 I use a US International keybord to type in English, German, and
Portuguese.

Portuguese works perfectly, as in 9.0, but for german one character is missing,
the "". I didn't find any key combination to type it. In 9.0 I could type it
holding the the right <Alt> key and pressing <s>. Now this key combination does
not work, neither on the text console nor under X.

Please correct the package choice when this bug is not in the XFree86 package.
