The X ressources in /etc/X11/app-defaults/Emacs set the font to
-*-fixed-medium-r-normal-*-*-140-75-75-*-*-iso8859-15
independant from the locale setting.
When I try to run emacs from a remote display, that doesn't support that font,
it doesn't start. My Solaris 2.7 workstation doesn't have support for iso8859-15 :-(
Here's the error:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] goetz]$ emacs
No fonts match `-*-fixed-medium-r-normal-*-*-140-75-75-*-*-iso8859-15'
A workaround would be to set the default font to
-*-fixed-medium-r-normal-*-*-140-75-75-*-*-*
