------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-03-12 18:17 -------
I see related problems in 9.1rc2:

1) Insert a floppy
2) Open the Floppy from the desktop (removable media icon)
3) It takes a long time, it finally works. In the meantime, here is what
    /var/log/messages says:

Mar 12 12:00:29 mireya kernel: attempt to access beyond end of device
Mar 12 12:00:29 mireya kernel: 02:00: rw=0, want=1442, (=0x5a2), limit=1440
Mar 12 12:00:29 mireya kernel: UDF-fs: No VRS found
Mar 12 12:00:34 mireya kernel: Unable to identify CD-ROM format.
Mar 12 12:00:34 mireya kernel: MSDOS FS: IO charset iso8859-1
Mar 12 12:00:34 mireya kernel: MSDOS FS: Using codepage 850

My kernel: kernel-2.4.21.0.13mdk-1-1mdk

Hope this helps,

description:
I insert a floppy (fat formated with kfloppy) and then empty of any file. I
click on the diskette icon to get a konqueror window => freeze of konqueror !

Another problem which is perhaps the same.
I put a diskette full at 90% in the reader. I open konqueror, and I suppress
some files to get more free space. I can't still record more than 150k even I
suppress all the files.
When recording more than 150k, an error occurs. It is impossible to recover a
free state of the device. Reboot is generally the solution.

Once, I have inserted a corrupt or blank CD in the reader. The problem was the
same.

With a FlashCard, an icon Removable appears on the desktop. Fine... But it was
impossible to open konqueror with it. konqueror freezes. However, with another
konqueror, /mnt/removable/ was correct, all files were there.
It was impossible to close the frozen windows, the desktop was frozen too.

It would be great to have a switch supermount enable/disable in drakconf.
