Perhaps I'm assuming wrong, but I am assuming that dynamic must be the
tool responsible for detecting cd-rom/floppy media and placing icons for it
on the desktop (just like it use to do for USB stuff).

This new functionality is nice, but it seems to have a problem. I inserted a
CD in the drive, and it only gave me an icon for it about five minutes later
in KDE (I didn't try in GNOME). Also, both the cd-rom and diskette icons
remained even after the media had been removed.

On more traditional dynamic functionality. My usb-storage device *still* is
not given an icon on the desktop like it was in 9.0. I would be happy to
provide any needed information.

  Best,
       Tim
