I think that this is an issue of urpmi because I got this problem several times in 9.0
and now in 9.1 RC2 and it allways happened when I was using urpmi. Also RedHat
does not seem to have problems like this, so I wouldn't suspect rpm.
And this bug is quite serious. Users usually do not know how to find out where the
problem is, procedure like 'try reboot' is not the solution. And if it heapens on
server
that I should not reboot or can reboot only lately at night...
So I think this bug is far from resolved / closed.

When I do "rpm -qa", the program would output several package names and then it
would get stucked.
I didn't build version with debugging information, though when I use "strace"
program to see what's happening I see that, when it gets stucked, it calls
select(0, NULL, NULL, NULL, {timeout}) and timeout keeps increasing up until it
reaches length of one second - then it keeps timing-out after one second for ever.
The only solution I found is system reboot :(
