description:
Observed in 9.1beta3, using snd-via82xx sound driver.
When started from the Mandrake menu under GNOME, and the GNOME sound events have
been enabled, Chromium is mute. Apparently some conflict occurs between Chromium
checking for sound capabilities and esd playing the 'menu item clicked' sound
effect. When I start Chromium from a terminal, sound works as expected.
