I can get my keyboard unstuck by setting the 'primary variant' the KContorl keyboard layout module to 'basic', so now I can type english even when keyboard layouts are enabled by switching keyboard layouts with the mouse (clicking kxkbd tray control. using CTRL-ALT-K keyboard shortcut is not really convinient and its only available while I'm on the english layout - while in israeli layout the same keyboard sequence generates CTRL-ALT-LAMED). This is still not ok, as its a major feature-loss since in 4.2 I could change groups using keyboard shortcuts, and with 4.3 it doesn't work no matter what I set in KControl. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------- Reminder: ------- assigned_to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] status: UNCONFIRMED creation_date: description: in XFree86 version 4.3 (unlike 4.2), when choosing a keyboard layout with more then one keyboard group, it is not possible to switch groups. hence, after choosing the "Israeli" keyboard layout I am unable to type english (which is available as an extra group in the "Israeli" layout). also, if choosing any keyboard variant other then 'generic101', XFree86 gets stuck in the last keyboard layout chosen and its impossible to even switch keyboard layouts. This makes XFree86 4.3 unusable to anyone who needs non latin input methods.
