Imagine the nerve of a democratic government doing what its people want, and
what nearly every other democratic government in the world is also doing!
They must be punished! Weren't the French paying anything to Chile in 1973?
"Lafayette, we are here--to kick your ass!"
Anyway, people aren't boycotting french fries and french toast, they're just
renaming them "freedom fries" and "freedom toast." So why not use the same
trick?
Mandrake is not a "French company," but a "freedom company"! (And what could
be more appropriate for a free software distributor?)
Ah, I remember the first girl in junior high who let me "freedom kiss" her....
On a more serious note, will pushing Mandrake as a cooperative world effort
(just like the UN) make the jingoist dumbasses any happier? I think people
who will refuse to buy Mandrake Linux because Mandrake is in France, and some
idiot from Ohio told them to stop buying anything in any way associated with
France, aren't going to be swayed by this effort.

Well, Quebecois sounds french enough for me, you frenchy person you. I say we
drop that spiffy new MOAB on your head and take out Montreal. And Paris,
Texas. And New Orleans, Louisiana--actually, all of Louisiana ("Bienvenue en
Louisiane? Bienvenue en mort, frenchy!"). And Liberty Island in NYC, with
that damn frenchy statue. And Baltimore, and any other city whose major
streets have frenchy names like "Orleans" and "Lafayette." And DC, since it's
built on that frenchy city plan.
