When using the battery monitoring applet, I get the following line with top:
1764 yann 18 0 7504 7500 6044 R 29.4 1.5 0:02.58 battstat-applet
I use ACPI on a Sony Vaio 702FX laptop. Everything is updated to latest cooker
packages. It slows down my computer considerably.
This does not happen with kde.
