You should take a look at 
/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth1
the first line probably contains garbage; drakconnect is only
pushing further this garbage, if I'm right that's its only sin.
It's possible that the root of your problem lies in the
installation process; and it may be already corrected
(or not, of course).
You may want to install again to see if this is the case.
