The following happens on a P4\1.8GHz machine, and these are install time issues that
vaporize after a reboot:
Installer tells me that network is not installed, and then on reboot I have
networking-- it never
got to the upgrades, so I have the frozen 2 ISO image set from Jan 16 onboard now.
md5sums validated-- this is immediately after the network bringup does not happen for
whatever reason during install phase (but the files assoicaited with a cable modem
linkup DID
get written and I am online in Beta2 after one reboot and no further work needed to
get online).
BUG: installer posts false network setup failure message, or times out before network
config is
complete. Non-crit but would be somethng to be fixed before final is released.
