Just installed beta 3 iso.
XFree 4.0 -- AGAIN
When XFree 4.0 fails then retry with xfree 3.3.6,
installation crashes, I mean CRASH - blank screen, no keyboard/mouse etc...cold
reset...
It happened in all previous betas also.
I hope this MAJOR issue will be fixed before the release!
somewhere in /etc/X11[..]/... some files are to be reset or removed then
xconfiguration restarted from the very begining and avoid xfree 4.0.

I need some help to understand why my mouse, (USB MS Explorer, 5 buttons)
plugged in the PS/2 port ( with the adapter duh)
doesn't work correctly. I always get only the two standrd buttons working.
all tools like "mouseconfig, mousedrake" keep selecting "generic PS/2 mouse"
instead of "generic 3 buttons PS/2" And in this beta 3, the things are getting
worse because there is no more "emulate 3 buttons" any more !!!
Note: I wont plug my mouse in the USB port anymore because if the usbmouse
driver
was not crashing randomly at startup, it was displaying debug infos
(garbage...)
all that in the previous betas. I'm too lazy to take notes and find where to
submit
bugs about this buggy and dangerous driver.

For the rest of the installation, everything is PERFECT!
Post install: Now I have my compter's hostname env var set correctly (dhcp
client).
No more "localhost" at login. :-)))
KDE is perfect.
Right click on desktop -> new still showing "folder" only when X is started as
ROOT.
But it was the same situation in beta 1. As a user, evrything is OK.
Anyways, who is login all the time into X as root ???? DUH!!
