There appears to be some problem switching modes in the install script. The install works OK as long as the video mode does not enter the testing. The X display seems to hang after being reset to VGA mode, instead of the black and white dot pattern, it's light red and white, and the system hangs. A ctrl-alt-backspace or ctrl-alt-del has no effect, though I don't know if it is supposed to. The start and stop of the x server seems to work OK after installation is complete using startx and the ctrl-alt-backspace-- the problem only occurs in the installation program. I hava an AMD Athlon PC, with an Acer 34T SVGA monitor and a Sis305 graphic card, which worked fine with Mandrake 8.2, but since Mandrake 9.0 and the 9.1 RC1 version I can't get it runing OK. The configuration tool freezes every time I try to confirm the settings (where it asks if I see the dialog box) and it doesn't come back to the configuration tool as it was in another versions. I tried diferent configurations: resolutions, monitors other SiS drivers,but nothing seems to work...What can I do?
