Well, that's nothing new :( It took me several hours to figure our why I only
got a blank screen with r128. This was with a 8.x release.

Does the r128 driver work if you unplug the tv-out plug? You may want to try out
http://www.stud.uni-hamburg.de/users/lennart/projects/atitvout/ and/or you the
ati.2 driver from contrib (see <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
of the cooker mailing list).

Two scenarios:




1) No hardware acceleration but there is a working display on TV and monitor 
(using VesaFB) (this is what Drakconf suggested).




2) Enabling the r128 driver instead of VesaFB i get NO picture on either TV nor 
monitor.

There seem to be no errors in the XFree86 log file. X starts normally and 
programs start. I get sound etc, just there is no picture.
