I am attaching a menu file that fixes this, save it in /usr/lib/menu, and run
'update-menus', and it should fix your first problem.

Please explain (2) better, since using the menu entry in KDE has always worked.
It seems kfmclient cannot be used to specify the profile, whereas you can with
'konqueror --profile filemanagement'.

The other issue adressed by this menu file is bug 240.

I have found this problem in both 9.1 rc1 and rc2.

I noticed this because I prefer Gnome, but use KDE for filemanagment.

1> running Filemanager Superuser from the Applications Menu in Gnome:
Filemanager opens with user permissions and oes not prompt for root password

2> attempt to run kde filemanager from panel launcher with kfmclient openProfile
filemanagement fails
