Since this version 2.4.19-19mdk of the kernel the NVIDIA Kernel can't work.
It works well with MDK 9.0 kernel 2.4.19-5mdk and Cooker kernel 2.4.19-16mdk
tested and reproduced with 2 different versions of NVIDIA kernel drivers :
NVIDIA_kernel-1.0-3123
NVIDIA_kernel-1.0-2960
nvidia drivers compiled from sources tarballs using gcc3.2 from cooker
Symptom
NVdriver.o loads well with its regular tainted warnings
starting X enter in an infinite loop using 95% CPU cycles.
Black screen or fancy random colored screens
Using text or frame buffer console at boot time doesn't change anything
Tested on :
Kernel 2.4.19-19mdk
CPU PII 350Mhz
Graphic Card LeadTech Geforce 3 Ti200
Motherboard Asus P2BF AGP 2x
I guess a fatal mandrake specific patch was introduced in kernel version
2.4.19-19mdk
