OK, now I feel stupid. After thinking a little I find this:

# rpm -V libglade0
missing /usr/lib/libglade.so.0
missing /usr/lib/libglade.so.0.4.2

This is not a bug in evolution. However it might be a bug in the Mandrake
installer. libglade0 is present and correct on my 9.1rc1 CD1, and there were no
signs of errors during the install. (I'm assuming that rpm -V is supposed to be
part of the install process? So how did this happen?)

My bad. Apologies.

description:
I have a fresh install of 9,1rc2 from the first 2 cdroms. Launching evolution
from a shell, it will not start. This is the error:

evolution: error while loading shared libraries: libglade.so.0: cannot open
shared object file: No such file or directory

This happens with 1.2.2-1mdk and 1.2.2-3mdk. Obviously some glade library has
not been installed, so this is really a packaging problem, because evolution is
properly installed.
