They (or Mandrakesoft) normally provide enterprise and smp. I can
probably build for multimedia etc.

I haven't had problems with this. Only issue I have had is the win4lin
kernel (at least for 9.0) stuffs up CD-writing (something I have been
trying to figure out for a while - found out 2 days ago ...).

But I think a urpm* tool for build RPMs from source/SRPM etc would be
cool, although I am not sure how licensing issues would work for this
kind of thing ...
