After enabling ACPI on my Toshiba 5105-S701 laptop, the process "keventd" uses
100% of the system resources continuously. This causes my processor to run very
hot, and the cooling fan stays on continuously as a result. Also, battery life
is drastically shortened as a result of this. Disabling ACPI fixes the problem,
but, obviously, results in the loss of valuable functions.
