I can ping other computers on the local network. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------- Reminder: ------- assigned_to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] status: UNCONFIRMED creation_date: description: Setting up networking and internet connection for the first time in MCC the values entered did not seem to be getting applied. after closing MCC and doing a ifconfig there was no network, so did a "service network restart" and it just sat there on "bringing up device eth0" for ages untill it finally completed but there was still no network. I started MCC again and went into harddrake and then ran the config on the nic from there, and it worked fine from there. It was a Davicom nic, has worked fine in mandrake 8.1, 8.2 & 9.0 so i don't think it has anything to do with it. Regards John
