alot of packages places their datafiles in %{_libdir}/%{name}, why is that?
would'nt it be more correct to place them in %{_datadir}/%{name}
Indeed, platform-independent files should go into %{_datadir}/%{name}, possibly versioned. Hence the rpmlint check for outside-libdir-files, IIRC.
