Pablo chose 'C' as the encoding for en_US so whatever other
language one selects, she will be in utf8 :((.

Note that if you chose en_GB it's the same story; en_GB is in
iso-8859-15 and sv iso-8859-1..

I'm not sure this whole thing is very effective (utf8 configs
tend to break things, it seems).
