It must be a problem of galaxy-gnome, not the kde version.

Installed Eclipse (from www.eclipse.org), trieded all builds from RC2 and later.
Running
under sun JDK1.4.1_02 on Mandrake 9.1 on the KDE Desktop.
Application starts ok. But open the CVS Repository view, and it will crash
