Hi,
First, congratulations for the work you have done for this version of
Mandrake 9.1.
But since the installation i've done on my computer, i have a little matter
with my ide zip drive 100Mo. In fact, during the boot, i saw many times a
warning message " ldm_validate_partition_table(): Disk read failed. "
After few investigations, i've deduce this matter was due to a kernel
argument passed to lilo which said "hdc=ide-scsi", so i've removed this
option and the error dropped out.
Now, my matter is the following, i have to change the used device for the
zip drive. It was something like /dev/sdxx, but now it sould be /dev/hdcx.
The matter, is that the device not appear on the /dev repersitory. I have to
create it, but how ? There's no MAKEDEV script... Is there another tool for
doing the same ?
