------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-04-03 22:13 -------
I set up internet connection sharing (ADSL from telus.net) for my downstairs
neighbour, one
machine (the 'gateway') has that chipset. Two IPs are available from the service
provider,
and are utilized. The other NIC (eth1) is a D-Link connected by an RJ-45 crossover
cable to
a Windows 98 SE (yech!) machine using a RealTech card. No worries no troubles and the
connection works always.
Guess that means "works for me?"

description:
Using SiS900 onboard ethernet, driver compiled in to kernel, DrakConnect
properly identifies the interface but then complains that no interface was
found. The correct message would be that the *driver/module* was not found.
After saying "no device found" it refuses to proceed and deletes all existing
net conf files.
Would be nice if drakconnect worked with built-in drivers.
