[Cooker] [gnome] panels freezing

The panels in gnome tend to freeze if one has to manipulate their properties 
to any great extent.  I have installed mdk9.1 twice now, and both times I 
had to log out of gnome so that I could finish arranging my panels the way 
that I need them.  The only changes I had to make were:

1. I moved the initial panel from the bottom to the top of the screen.
2. I created a new edge panel at the bottom of the screen.
3. I moved the window list to the bottom panel
4. I increased the sizes of both panels.
5. I made the bottom panel hide automatically.
I will try to reproduce the error in the coming days with my guest account.
