Look at bugs 2048 and 2324. During the install, if you hit F1, and then linux mem=880m, you can install using the normal installer. I believe this is the real solution to the problem many people have during installation. For the normal system boot, vag=normal is necessary, but works fine. Adrian Golumbovici (see 2324) isolated the problem on his system, and I can confirm that using mem=880m enables me to use the standard installer. I think this is a really important item to get into the errata for 9.1. I'm assuming the issue is 1G (actually 880M) or more of memory, which causes problems with the NVIDIA TI series of cards, and many high end ATI cards as well. I'm afraid we may be in danger of not connecting up several issues relating to the kernel used during installation and some particular hardware items. Paul Misner
