------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-04-05 10:36 ------- It didn't work in the stable version as well. Two reasons, how I found it out: - first time I installed it when I wasn't at home with my laptop where the printer is standing. - second time the printer was connected but USB did not work at all with my new Nforce2 based Epox board (I got it to work by disabling acpi, parport and ac97 sound in BIOS, probably because Nforce2 isn't well supported by the kernel) Reinhard ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------- Reminder: ------- assigned_to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] status: UNCONFIRMED creation_date: description: I tried to install a printer on my Sony Vaio FX301 but had to find out that I could not select an USB port without having the printer connected. When I made the installation the printer was out of reach for me, so I tried to force it, but after having done all the configuration I simply got an failure message that the printer could not be installed.
