I am new to this list so I hope I am doing this the correct way.
Is there any reason why PROBE ALL LUNS should not be enabled by default
in the Mandrake kernels? This would make a number of multi-type memory
card readers work from "Out of the Box". I bring this up because I run
an ShuttleX which is fitted with such a card reader (from Shuttle). This
machine is shown as fully compliant on the Mandrake hardware list but
Shuttles multi-reader does not work without a kernel rebuild. Some
research at Linux USB indicates that the USB signature of this device is
identical for many different brands of the same device thus it will not
just fix the Shuttle device but many others. This is not a complaint as
it is fun for me to recompile the kernel but for some it may be a
daunting task.
