If portmap is not setup at boot and this services enabled : netfs, nfs, nfslock the boot hangs indefinitly.
Happily, CD1 in rescue mode allows to repair it. But this is very difficult for a beginner : - Boot with allowing boot on CD - F1, rescue, mount on mnt, console, keyboard fr, cd /mnt/etc/init.d - vi netfs, nfs, nfslock - insertion of "exit 1" at the beginning of each file. - reboot with disabling boot on CD - vi netfs, nfs, nfslock to remove "exit 1" - use of DrakXServices to disable netfs, nfs, nfslock at boot. There two ways to avoid this lock : - DrakXServices : check the daemons launched at boot after pressing OK. - /etc/init.d/* check the presence of required daemons Both of them ? -- Pierre Jarillon - http://pjarillon.free.fr/ Vice-prsident de l'ABUL : http://abul.org/
