------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-22-06 05:32 ------- Sorry for the delay in response. Unfortunately, the above patch doesn't work. The first apm -s suspends and resumes correctly; the second kills X, and returns to the GUI login screen. The version I gave you does work reliably and repeatably. I think that it's necessary to kill -STOP Xfree as early as possible, then do the rest of the suspend-resume, and then kill -CONT xfree at the end. - Richard -- Configure bugmail: http://qa.mandrakesoft.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------- Reminder: ------- assigned_to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] status: UNCONFIRMED creation_date: description: apm -s will lockup the system. This only occurs under X, and cannot be fixed by altering /etc/sysconfig/suspend There's a fix available at the URL above, which you could probably use to modify your apm scripts, and which also handles restoring sound.
