One of the problems (afaik) is that a wiki page cannot be erased without
deleting it manually from the server. So you have to have your naming/structure
convention well defined before splitting it.

There is also no way to merge different pages automatically... Actually,
content handling is poor, regarding the existing format handling that wiki
provides.

I think we should look at wiki plugins. There are plugins to export from wiki
to various formats. A goos solution would be to write the howto in the wiki
with well defined content/formating rules, then use the wiki plugins to convert
it to something that can be converted to latex, or sometiong documentation
oriented.

I'll take a look at the twiki plugins
