Viewing large pdfs in ggv is very slow to startup, because ggv is having
ghostscript convert the entire pdf over to ps to view the thing. This causes
ggv to seem as if it hasn't been started or has stalled when opening large pdfs.
It also eats a lot of disk space.

Example, opening one of Intels Instruction Set Reference manuals takes minutes.

The alternative is to change a setting in ggv to have it convert each page as
needed. There is no documentation for this in ghostscript except in
"/usr/share/ghostscript/7.05/lib/pdf2dsc.ps" -- thats right, just open it with a
text editor.

The following setting in ggv "Edit->Preferences->GGV
Preferences->Ghostscript->Convert PDF to PS" should be changed to
"/usr/bin/gs -dNODISPLAY -dQUIET -sDSCname=%s -sPDFname=%s pdf2dsc.ps -c quit"

This way opening large pdfs is much faster(a second or two, not minutes) and
doesn't use potentially 50MB or so to view the pdf.
