[Cooker] 7.1 and USB devices

I know that USB suport has been installed on my machine, but nothing seems 
to work.  I only have two devices: HP printer and Casio camera with 
microdrive.  How about HardDrak recognizing USB devices? For some reason, 
USB doesn't even show up on the tree.

I'm a LInux newbie so be easy on me. [grin]
