Product: kdebase-kdm
Component: kdebase-kdm
Summary: X crashes when password period expires
Product: kdebase-kdm
Version: 3.1-83mdk
Platform: PC
OS/Version: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: kdebase-kdm
AssignedTo: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
This may be an MdkKDM (Mandrake Display Manager Problem) and not a KDE!
I set the password validy time and as I got close to the expiration time the X window
crashes during logging in. I get the login screen, type in the password and hit OK,
then
X-crashes and after a while I'll get the login screen again. When loggin in as a
different
user, KDE starts normal.
When switching to command mode, the message "password expires in 4 days" is
displayed.
After changing the password with the passwd command, the MdkKDM login works fine.
I could not find anything in the logs.
