-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 This was brought to my attention by a MandrakeClub member:
The problem is that the file /usr/share/vim/tutor/tutor.vim does not get installed by default. Apparently the maintainer said this file is a localised file, so it will not be installed. However, /usr/share/vim/tutor/tutor.vim (as I checked on my Windows machine) is a script that finds the right tutor file for the locale, such as /usr/share/vim/tutor/tutor (which is installed on my cooker box). Unfortunately, this line in the spec file incorrectly assigns the tutor.vim file to the non-existent "vim" locale. If I add "vim" to my "%_install_langs", and then re-install vim-common, I get the tutor.vim file, and vimtutor works as it does on Windows (starts vim with a copy of the correct tutor file). Can this be fixed please? It should just need to change this: find $RPM_BUILD_ROOT%_datadir/vim/ -name "tutor.*" | sed -e "s^$RPM_BUILD_ROOT^^" -e 's!^\(.*tutor.\)\(..\)!%lang(\2) \1\2!g' >> %name.lang to something like this (untested): find $RPM_BUILD_ROOT%_datadir/vim/ -name "tutor.*" |grep -v "\.vim$"| sed -e "s^$RPM_BUILD_ROOT^^" -e 's!^\(.*tutor.\)\(..\)!%lang(\2) \1\2!g' >> %name.lang Finally, maybe /usr/share/vim/tutor (the english tutor file) needs to have a locale ...
