And, uh, my reason for posting was to prove whether it is in fact their bug, masked by older glibc releases, so they know they must have the vendor fix it, and not a bug in glibc. BTW, it might be an idea to add a HEADER.html to that url, so people will be aware that the packages are intended as a temporary workaround until the vendor fixes their software. These problems are *very* widespread (recent Pro\Engineer beta release has it, Compupic as shipped by Mandrakesoft has it, and a few others). Unfortunately, IBM hasn't produced new versions of ViaVoice for linux for quite a while ...
